Everything is Energy

About Me

Neelanjana Bharadwaj is an architect with over 20 years of experience working with Residential and Commercial architectural and interior projects. Graduating from The Institute of Environmental Design, in Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat she worked extensively in Delhi, Bangalore, Mangalore and Manipal, India.

She went onto become a partner with 'Red Earth', a boutique design firm based out of Bangalore which takes inspiration from traditional elements and building practices.

With Red Earth, she worked on a range of activities including research, documentation, interior design, heritage restoration, design and conceptualizing of restaurants, retail commercial spaces, theme resorts and residences.

She was closely associated with the 'Heritage Village Project' in Manipal, which involved documenting, transplanting, restoring and rebuilding old priceless structures, that cannot be preserved in their place of origin. She learnt the science of Vaastu Shastra through an intricate study of these structures which involved the ancient principles of Vaastu. Going deeper into the study of this science she realized the immense beneficial impact, an energy efficiently designed space has on a person's well being and continued to use the principles in all her designs.

Working as a freelance architect in Bahrain, she continues to design responsibly, incorporating the essence of Vaastu in all her work.

She has been a fitness enthusiast ever since she can remember and got into Yoga after being diagnosed with a serious auto immune disorder which affected several of her joints, almost 17 years ago. With the help of Homeopathy and Yoga she was able to come out of the illness and has never looked back since then.

She went onto do teachers training in both Hatha and Vinayasa styles of Yoga, from Bangalore in India, as teaching is her passion.

Her classes are a blend of the two styles and her focus is on using the breath to keep the flow and achieve a sense of quietness for an overall mind and body experience. While the classes may be physically challenging they are suited for all levels as she's fluid in giving options and focuses tremendously on the right techniques.

Being a Yoga, breathwork and meditation teacher she has realized the immense benefits of incorporating the three alongwith the right type of nutrition to manage emotions for a wholesome, balanced life. She truly believes that the secret to being happy in all situations comes from a blend of the food we intake, the thoughts we allow to grow and the way we breathe.

Working as a freelance architect and a passionate Yoga teacher in Bahrain, she thrives on connecting with people and sharing her craft. Her weekly coloumn on Yoga, titled 'The Yoga Buzz" in Bahrain This Week is part of her endeavor for spreading her passion and love for Yoga.

Yoga, Me and More was created as a platform where each individual, who connects with Neel through Yoga, can take that something more based on their individual interests!

She draws inspiration from all the ancient Vedic sciences ie Vaastushastra, Ayurveda and Yoga, believing in their benefits on the human life.
